As a native of Pennsylvania, this time of year doesn't typically deliver tons of exciting things to look forward to. That is, unless, cold weather and giant snow storms tend to be your idea of awesome. For the past week, The 2016 Great American Outdoor Show has been in full swing at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg Pa. With over 1,100 exhibitors covering almost 700,000 feet of exhibit hall, there's just about everything a family who loves to hunt, fish, camp, ride, shoot, or explore might be interested in. One of the big themes I noticed this year was a focus on UTV's. The manufacturers are paying attention as well, and as such, there were more OEM's showing off their products than I've ever seen before.

We took the opportunity to check in, not only with the ATV and UTV manufacturers, but also some cool products that might interest our readers. With a few more days to go, if you're within driving distance to the show, be sure to stop by and check it out. Be sure to check out www.greatamericanoutdoorshow.org for more details. In the meantime, check out these cool show highlights.

Kawasaki

Kawasaki: One of the most impressive displays came from Kawasaki. Utility and youth ATV's, Teryx's, plenty of Mules, and their killer KLR650 provided plenty of buzz!ATV Rider

A.R.E. Topper EZ Lift

A.R.E. Topper EZ Lift: If you're into camping when you ATV, the Topper EZ Lift might be for you. In 30 seconds, this product will lift your truck cap over 17", allowing the bed to be used to house a tent that will help keep you high and dry.ATV Rider

Yamaha

Yamaha: Yamaha was on hand with their full barrage of ATV and UTV offerings. There was a huge crowd gathered around the new YXZ 1000R and the Wolverine, which is particularly spectacular for ravaging the tight woods of the northeast.ATV Rider

'Merica

This counts as an ATC, right?ATV Rider

Gravely

Gravely: A name that I typically associate with lawn mowers and old farm tractors, Gravely has recently jumped into the UTV market with their Atlas UTV.ATV Rider

Can-Am

Can Am: Can Am showed up with a few UTV's, including the new Defender, as well as the new midsize Outlander L.ATV Rider

Bobcat

Bobcat: Highlighting their utility vehicle, Bobcat had several models on display.ATV Rider

Mahindra

Mahindra: Known for building a really strong tractor, Mahindra has gotten serious about entering the UTV market with their own mPact XTV lineup. Look for a test of their products soon!ATV Rider

Polaris

Polaris: Polaris had a large selection of new products for 2016. But, it was the new General 1000 that grabbed my attention most in their exhibit area.ATV Rider

Diamondback

Diamondback: Aluminum bed covers that not only secure your gear, they allow the ability to haul a quad (and sometimes two) on top.ATV Rider

TireJect

TireJect: A sealant that quickly seals flats from the inside out may come in handy. Look for a future review of this product in an upcoming article.ATV Rider

Honda

Honda: besides Yamaha, Honda was the only other manufacturer highlighting any sport ATV models. Most of the attention in their booth surrounded the Pioneer UTV's.ATV Rider

Argo

Argo: One of my favorite machines at the show was the Argo 8x8. If eight wheels and tracks aren't enough, how about a Mercury outboard on teh back of this amphibious machine to help power you to even the most remote hunting spot?ATV Rider

John Deere

John Deere: Harrisburg was a sea of green with plenty of John Deere Gator Utility vehicles.ATV Rider

Kolpin

Kolpin: Kolpin was on-hand highlighting a few products, including their StrongHold Gun Boot and their Auto-latch mount system that also accepts other products like chainsaw holders. Look for a full test of this cool new modular product soon.ATV Rider

Jesse James Jeep truck

Jesse James Jeep truck: It's a well known fact that Jesse James loves guns. Jesse also loves building some pretty incredible machines. I was really impressed with the Jeep truck created by Jesse...especially the Kevlar bed and the killer-looking billet beadlock wheels.ATV Rider
