Boss Power-V XT Plow Review

Thrashed

**If you live in the snowbelt like myself **and a huge chunk of the population, then you're probably used to getting pounded with snow throughout the winter season. My New Year's resolution this year was to get plowed as much as possible in 2011! To shelter my liver, I opted to get plowed with the Boss Power-V XT UTV snowplow, which raced to the rescue like a superhero to help protect my family from the villainous Old Man Winter! For those with the need to own the biggest and baddest UTV plow on the planet, look no further than the Boss Power-V XT.

With an integrated electro/hydraulic pump system, this plow can be positioned in virtually every angle possible via the simple-to-use SmartTouch2 handheld control system. My varied experiences of attaching many types of ATV plow systems have often left me scratching my head and spewing profanities that would make my Italian grandmother want to punch me in the eye, so I was afraid what behaviors attaching a 500-pound plow to the front of a massive UTV might elicit! With the SmartHitch2 system, the whole plow can be hitched or unhitched in under a minute. Rather than muscle the plow onto your UTV, with the flick of a switch the SmartHitch2 attaches the plow to the front like a tick on a dogor Lindsay Lohan to a cocktail, if you so prefer.

Plowing with the Power-V XT is simply amazing. This plow is a downsized version of what you'd find on the nose of a heavy-duty truck. Because of the Boss's girth, its applications are limited to beefier UTVs that can handle the extra weight needed to lug it around. To offset the additional weight on the front, we recommend loading the bed to its capacity with sand bags to counterweight your ride and keep the nose from diving.

If your little heart desires the baddest UTV plow on the planet, do yourself a favor and hightail it to your nearest Boss dealer for a little demonstration and drool session. Not only will the Power-V XT make short work of plowing your driveway, but you can easily score some points with the neighbors who have to put up with you the rest of the year! - Lance Schwartz
