Custom Honda 250R With Build Sheet

Kyler Lenz’s Six 5 Design 250R

There are builds that stand out and then there are builds that completely put us at awe. The latest is a beautiful Honda race from Six 5 Design for the young gun Kyler Lenz out of Southern Wisconsin. Lenz, is making the jump from a Yamaha Blaster to this incredible Honda 250R.

The Youth classes are starting to be dominated by hybrid machines using motorcycle engines. This is one of the cleanest builds ever.ATV Rider

14 Year old Kyler Lenz is already racking up championships in the ATV world. Expect him to be one of the young guns of the pro class before too long.ATV Rider

Race quads in this class typically start with a stock Raptor 250 chassis, but this one is different. Jake Balsiger (Six 5 Design www.six5design.com (440) 487-0315 ) and John Bartosek started from the ground up on this project. The frame is a completely hand built, hybrid chassis that may actually handle better than what some of the pros are running.

According to Six 5 Design, this is the narrowest control arm pivot location of any production Hybrid on the market.ATV Rider

Everything including the frame, subframe, A-arms, swingarm, steering stem and linkage is exactly what you would get when you order a Alpha Hybrid chassis from Six 5 Design. The motor is the only major component that you could source elsewhere. In this case, it’s a 2014 250cc four stroke out of a Honda dirt bike.

The FMF exhaust equipped Honda CRF250R engine is the perfect stepping stone for a young teenager looking to build speed.ATV Rider

One of the cool things about Kyler’s racer is that when he’s ready to move up to a 450cc motor, all he will have to do is replace the motor mounts and install the 450 motor of his choice with a new set of motor mounts. Every Six 5 Design suspension system is engineered 100% prior to fabrication. They use a mix of solid modeling, as well as CAD systems to prove their systems prior to the fabrication process ensuring that the customer gets the highest level of precision and quality.ATV Rider

According to Balsiger, the Six 5 Design chassis is the only Hybrid chassis with variable caster thru the travel (Anti Dive Front End).ATV Rider
