The gun boot itself is very well designed and should honestly last a lifetime if taken care of. With that said, the magic in the Stronghold's design isn't as much with the boot as it is with the Auto-Latch system. With every other gun boot I've ever tested, mounting or removal required the use of either tools or fiddling with rotary knobs. After mounting the Stronghold Auto-Latch to your machine, the gun boot (or other Stronghold accessories) can be mounted or removed with a simple click of the latch. When removed, the latch is small enough that it stays out of your way and isn't intrusive to the rider.
