Polaris is not shying away from the ATV market in the least. In fact, for 2017 Polaris has completely changed the look of the Sportsman line and added two all new utility models. All of the Scramblers, base models, Highlifter Editions, Touring, X2, Youth and Big Boss Sportsman’s will return as well. Here are all the changes to the 2017 Polaris Sportsman ATV’s.
The top of the line Sportsman model has redesigned bodywork, a new seat, footwells, fenders and racks. Sight lines have been improved and so has storage opportunities throughout. This machine also has bluetooth connectivity as well as 3 mode throttle control, allowing for reduced or increased horsepower needs. Keeping the 91 Horsepower under control or unleashing all of it as once is a great new feature.
The Sportsman 850 and 850SP help make up Polaris’ number one selling utility recreation machine. Both feature a strong 78 Horsepower engine, integrated front storage, sculpted seat and steel reinforced racks. The SP models get an automotive paint finish on the bodywork and aluminum wheels instead of steel.
A combined 270 pound rack capacity will make the 570 a go to machine on the job site. This machine has a new variable slow speed throttle asset that will allow the operator to select a constant speed between 7 and 14 MPH making jobs like spraying or plowing more consistent. Its racks are also molded to fit all kinds of accessories. EPS is standard on this utility model but still keeping it very affordably priced amongst its competition.
The lowest priced 4WD ATV is the Sportsman 450 H.O. The utility version has a steel front bumper, front hitch receiver and steel racks. A 1225 towing capacity will help get the job done while only utilizing a 33 horsepower engine. The original Polaris McPherson struts work well and help keep the price tag very affordable.
