The Polaris Scrambler is one of our favorite ATVs. It battles the Can-Am Renegade in the 4WD sport-recreation category and is one of the fastest ways to get across any terrain. Usually available with 850 and 1000 class engines, Polaris did not include it in its initial announcement several months ago concerning ATVs that would be returning for 2022. But the hiatus is no more and the biggest, baddest Scrambler is back for 2022 as the Scrambler XP 1000 S Limited Edition.
We’re big fans of the Scrambler. It’s a fun-to-ride machine that has excellent power in either engine configuration and is one of the most comfortable four-wheelers on the market. While the 850 remains as a stripped-down version for 2022, we’re happy to see the XP 1000 S back on Polaris’ website as a model available this year.
The 2022 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S has a price tag of $16,599. It’s a 55-inch-wide machine with a massive 14.5 inches of ground clearance. Polaris claims it has “the industry’s most advanced shock package” thanks to premium three-way-adjustable shocks from Walker Evans. Power comes from the 952cc ProStar twin-cylinder engine that makes 89 hp. The mechanicals have been beefed up too, with the front differential and half shafts stolen from the much heavier RZR XP 1000. Polaris kits the newest version of the Scrambler 1000 with an integrated Pro Armor 11-inch LED light bar and an adjustable 3-inch handlebar riser.
The 2022 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S Limited Edition stays true to its name with limited availability, so you’d better hurry if owning this beast is on your short list. We can’t wait to get our hands on one.
