Video: GNCC Wiseco John Penton Rnd. 7 Highlights and Results

Brycen Neal just won his fifth race in the 2022 GNCC season on the No. 241 Yamaha. Walker Fowler started the race in usual style, taking the holeshot and an early lead. The battle between the two racers was tight, as always, but then machine failure sidelined Fowler in the final laps, forcing him into a 13th place finish. Neal would go on to finish more than two and a half minutes ahead of second place No. 2 Yamaha of Hunter Hart. At just past the halfway point, it’s too early in the season to claim victory, but Neal now has a 36-point lead over Fowler. The remaining rounds will see everyone stepping up their game in an effort to catch Neal.

Sport quads are exciting to watch, but we find ourselves getting just as excited over the competition in the 4x4 ATV Pro class. Manhandling an 800-plus-pound ATV through tight trees at race speed isn’t an easy task, but these guys actually make it look fun. One has to wonder why 4x4 ATV racing hasn’t caught on over on the West Coast. The World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) has a 4x4 ATV class, but it rarely sees more than one entry. Yes, the terrain is different, but with today’s sport 4x4 ATV offerings outnumbering sport quads, we’d like to see those 4x4 race entries multiply.
